IIR Technology, a London based division of IIR, was responsible for the provision of technology training courses with a particular strength in 'hands-on'.

IMS Global Learning Consortium (IMS/GLC) is a global, nonprofit, member organization that provides leadership in shaping and growing the learning industry through community development of standards, promotion of high impact innovation, and research into best practices. IMS/GLC includes more than 50 Contributing Members and affiliates. These members come from every sector of the global learning community. They include hardware and software vendors, educational institutions, publishers, government agencies, systems integrators, multimedia content providers, and other consortia. IMS/GLC provides a neutral forum in which members work together to advocate the use of technology to support and transform education and learning.

Riverdelta developed the Broadband Services Router (BSR) 64000, an IP switch-router that enforces service quality on a per-packet basis in accordance with the Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS). In 2001, Motorola acquired RiverDelta, a Massachusetts (USA) based Cable technology company, for $300million. This formed the basis of the Motorola Broadband Division.

The industree's DVB/DAVIC-based product range was the first to achieve interoperability certification. In 2001 The industree was acquired by BarcoNet. This combination enabled the next generation developments, including (Euro)DOCSIS 1.1 and EuroModem/DVB solutions. In early 2002, BarcoNet was acquired by Scientific-Atlanta and in 2006, Cisco acquired Scientific-Atlanta for $6.9 billion.
